Since there have been people, there have been nudists…it’s not such a new or bizarre idea for people to enjoy being nude. Even in these modern times there are Indian tribes in Brazil and African cultures that live their entire lives totally nude (see Nudist History). Children naturally love to be nude because they have yet to be taught (by adults) to be ashamed of their bodies. Nature's Hideaway Nudist Resort is for couples and families who enjoy being nude and do not believe in body shame.

SO, WHAT IS NUDISM?

Nudism is characterized by collective nudity among family and friends for the purpose of accepting the entire human body as being wholesome and shame free.

Don’t be confused by the words “Nudist” or “Nudism” as they are only words that describe the ‘Idea’ of enjoying nudity without shame...

Nudism?

I can tell you that it’s not a religion, theology or cult, and I can tell you that for those who truly believe in family-friendly nudism that it has nothing to do with sex. I can tell you that there are many nudists that are primarily nude at home and belong to no formal nudist group or organization. I can also tell you that nudism has been around for a long time, and that there are many many more nudists than you might imagine, as they number in the millions in the world. Many nudists keep their beliefs secret because the media and our culture in general remains unclear and un-educated regarding the motivation of those who enjoy living life in the nude, either privately or with others. I can tell you that many nudists belong to groups and families that range in age from infants to teenagers, to parents to grand parents, and also from most ethnic, economic and religious groups. Religious groups you say? Yes, religion and nudism are not conflicting ideas…remember Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden? They were naked and unashamed! Family-friendly nudists generally require a high degree of moral values from nudist participants.

THE IDEA:

So nudism is an idea; the idea that the human body should not be treated or viewed with shame. Nudist, Naturist, Edenist, whatever you want to call them, they all basically believe in this same idea. If you are a religious person, then you probably believe that humans (and all life forms) were created by a god or other deity perfectly and without shame. So if you are religious and you believe that your body is shameful (at least certain parts of it), then isn't that an insult to your creator?! If you’re not particularly religious, then the idea of body respect remains the same; your body is still a miracle!

WHAT DO YOU DO NOW ?

So now what do you do? Young, in-between's and old alike, you start thinking about nudism as an idea that there are appropriate times and places to be nude, either alone, with your family or with other nudists. You appreciate your body, and you respect it as the beautiful miracle that it is. Look at your body in a new way; behold its natural beauty and function. Start by practicing being nude as much as possible, either privately or with others. If you do that for just a few months, you’ll soon embrace the fun, exhilaration, comfort and shear delight of being comfortably nude. Once you have reached your ‘Zen’ moment, that moment you realize you’re a nudist, you will then forever be a nudist with a new zest, appreciation and respect for life and your wonderful body!
